Joel graduated from the University of Toronto with an honors degree in Applied Mathematics in June of 1986. After graduating, Joel continued his educational endeavors by completing the requirements for membership in the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.

Joel is now a Partner at Dion Durrell + Associates where his primary responsibilities are managing the on-going operatioins from a strategic and day-to-day perspective as well as well providing off-shore strategic tax consulting to international financial institutions, particularly in the area of risk management.
